This Cinnamon Chocolate Monkey Bread is a fun, easy baking project, perfect for a holiday season weekend. Kids will love it, but so will grownups. Each bite has a sweet surprise!
Yields 1 - 8”x4” loaf
Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
¼ stick (1 oz) butter, softened
1-8oz ball of pizza dough, thawed and chilled
2-2.7 oz packages Cinnamon Chocolate Discs, broken up into ½” pieces
½ stick (2 oz) butter, melted
To Prepare:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 8” x 4” inch loaf pan with softened butter. In small shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and mix well.
2. Cut dough into 1 inch pieces. Wrap each piece of dough around a small piece of chocolate. Dip each piece in melted butter, shaking off the excess, and roll it in sugar mixture until well coated. Place directly into loaf pan and repeat until you run out of pizza dough. Pro-tip: if you run out of chocolate, get creative! Fresh bananas or cream cheese would be a welcome surprise. Just sayin’.
3. Top off the filled loaf pan with remaining butter and sugar mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling with butter. Allow loaf to cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm.
